About the Role:
Quality Painting LLC is looking for a skilled and motivated Lead Painter to join our growing team in St. Clair County MI. This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll take ownership of painting projects from start to finish while guiding a crew to deliver top-quality results. Responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise painting crews on residential and/or commercial job sites
- Perform interior and exterior painting, including brush, roller, and spray application techniques
- Prepare surfaces through scraping, sanding, patching, and priming prior to painting
- Interpret project plans and communicate daily goals and expectations to crew members
- Ensure quality control standards are met on every project
- Manage job site safety, cleanliness, and proper use of tools and equipment
- Coordinate with project managers and clients to ensure timely project completion
Requirements:
- 3+ years of professional painting experience (residential and/or commercial)
- Previous lead or supervisory experience on painting crews preferred
- Proficiency in surface preparation, paint application, and finishing techniques
- Knowledge of paints, stains, coatings, and proper material selection
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality workmanship
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and lift up to 50 lbs
- Strong communication skills and a positive, team-oriented attitude

Compensation: $30.00 per hour
Quality Painting LLC is a locally owned painting and exterior services contractor serving St. Clair and Macomb counties. We’ve been in business for 10 years doing interior and exterior painting, cabinet refinishing, trim and door work, deck and fence staining, and exterior softwashing for homeowners and businesses.
We run every job to a written standard — our crews work from documented prep, coating, and cleanup procedures, so the finish holds up and the jobsite gets left better than we found it.
What it’s like to work here: a small team, steady work, and no guessing. You’ll know the scope before you start, you’ll have the right materials on the truck, and you’ll get paid weekly. These are W-2 positions, not 1099 subcontracting.
This is not an entry-level shop. We’re not set up to train from scratch — you need real experience cutting in, rolling, spraying, and prepping, and you need to be able to work without someone standing over you.
